About
Loyalhanna Lake Pavilions are situated in the scenic Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania, overlooking Loyalhanna Lake in Westmoreland County. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District, these pavilions are part of the Bush Recreation Area, which offers stunning lake views and diverse terrain characterized by rolling foothills. The area provides exceptional water recreation opportunities with unlimited horsepower boating, kayak and canoe rentals, and some of Pennsylvania's best fishing. Loyalhanna Lake is renowned for channel catfishing with multiple annual stockings and hosts several bass tournaments each year. Shore fishing opportunities are plentiful along both moving and still waters. Beyond water activities, visitors can enjoy bird watching, hunting in season, and nearby trail access. The West Penn Trail, located at a sister Corps project just 10 minutes away, offers excellent hiking and biking. The Loyalhanna Dam site features interpretive displays and scenic overlooks, adding educational value to the recreation experience.
