Nestled among the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania, Crooked Creek Lake campground offers 46 family campsites managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Located about 30 miles northeast of Pittsburgh near Ford City, the facility provides a mix of tent-only and RV-accessible sites, all without hookups. Sites feature gravel driveways, full shade, and allow campfires. Pets are welcome. The lake and surrounding area provide excellent recreation opportunities. A boat launch with ample trailer parking serves boating and waterskiing enthusiasts, while the sandy peninsula beach draws swimmers and sunbathers. Fishing is productive for bass, muskie, sunfish, and crappie. The 141-mile Baker Trail passes through the project, and a 9-hole disc golf course is available at the Justice Pavilion. Facilities include flush restrooms at the Independence and Heritage pavilions and a vault toilet near the Justice Pavilion. A dump station is available near the park entrance. Six picnic shelters with tables and grills serve day-use visitors. Reservations are handled through Recreation.gov with a 14-night stay limit per 30-day period.

Directions

From Pittsburgh: Head northeast on Grant St toward Sixth Avenue. Turn right onto Seventh Ave. Use the left lane to keep right at the fork, follow signs for PA-380 E/Bigelow Boulevard/Interstate 579 N and merge onto Bigelow Blvd. Take the ramp onto I-579N/Veterans Bridge. Follow PA-28 N to PA-66 S in Manor Township. Take exit A from PA-28N/US-422 E. Continue on PA-66 S. Turn left onto Crooked Creek Dam Rd. Address: 114 Park Main Rd, Ford City, PA 16226.
