About
Located on the shores of Crooked Creek Lake, this U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground provides 46 non-electric campsites in a scenic setting among western Pennsylvania's rolling hills. The 750-acre flood control lake offers excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming. Campers enjoy direct access to a sandy peninsula beach, boat launch with ample trailer parking, and fishing for bass, muskie, sunfish, and crappie. The campground features a mix of tent-only and RV sites without hookups, flush restrooms near key pavilions, and drinking water. Day-use amenities include six picnic shelters with tables and grills, a 9-hole disc golf course at Justice Pavilion, and several picnic areas throughout the park. Ball fields, horseshoe pits, and a small pond add to the recreational options. The 141-mile Baker Trail crosses the lake for long-distance hikers, and the nearby Crooked Creek Horse Park offers miles of horseback riding trails. The Crooked Creek Outdoor Discovery Center provides environmental education programs. Situated just 30 miles northeast of Pittsburgh in Armstrong County, the campground maintains a 14-day maximum stay within any 30-day period.
