About

Milton Loop Campground is a family-oriented campground located on 28 beautiful acres along Mahoning Creek Lake in northern Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. The campground sits in the rugged, forested terrain of western Pennsylvania near the Dayton and Smicksburg area. Currently operated by the Gearhart family under a sublease agreement with Armstrong County, which holds a no-cost lease from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the campground offers a variety of camping options for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The campground features 54 campsites, including approximately 38 sites with electric hookups (ranging from standard to 50 amp service) and water, plus 13 primitive sites without hookups. Four solar-powered cabins are available with electric, heat, and air conditioning. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. The campground provides clean restrooms with hot showers, a dump station, and organized activities for guests. The setting offers direct access to Mahoning Creek for fishing and canoeing, and connects to the Baker Trail for hiking. The campground overlooks the creek and boat launch, providing a rustic camping experience in the scenic Pennsylvania countryside.
