Open seasonally from April 1 through October 31. Reservations are accepted and recommended during peak season. The campground is operated by Gearhart's and tends to fill up quickly on weekends.

About

Milton Loop Campground is located on the shores of Mahoning Creek Lake in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, approximately 12 miles southeast of New Bethlehem and 7 miles northwest of Dayton. The campground is operated by Gearhart's under a lease agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which manages the lake and surrounding flood control project. The campground features around 54 campsites ranging from primitive tent sites to full hookup RV sites with water and 30/50-amp electric service. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, a dump station, and drinking water throughout the grounds. A camp store on-site sells basic groceries, camping supplies, ice cream, fishing bait and tackle, and souvenirs. WiFi is available for campers. Mahoning Creek Lake offers excellent fishing for bass, walleye, and panfish, along with boat ramps, a swimming area, and hiking trails through the surrounding rugged western Pennsylvania terrain. The campground is known for its family-oriented atmosphere with planned activities throughout the season.

Directions

From New Bethlehem, head southeast on PA-28 for approximately 12 miles. From Dayton, travel northwest approximately 7 miles. The campground is located at 114 Milton Loop Campground Lane, Dayton, PA 16222.
