Located within more than 5,000 acres of native Central Florida habitat, Colt Creek State Park Campground provides a tranquil retreat in longleaf pine flatwoods. The campground features 27 full-facility sites with both 30- and 50-amp electric hookups, plus 6 tent-only sites. Some sites can accommodate RVs up to 70 feet in length. The campground includes an accessible bathhouse with flush toilets and showers, and a dump station at the entrance. Sites 2 and 6 are fully ADA accessible with level concrete pads connected to the bathhouse via concrete walkway. The park offers over 15 miles of multiuse trails winding through pine flatwoods, cypress domes, and hardwood hammocks. Three lakes provide bank fishing and paddling opportunities for largemouth bass, bluegill, and catfish. Wildlife viewing is excellent, with species including white-tailed deer, bobcat, Sherman's fox squirrel, bald eagles, and American alligators. The park is designated on the Great Florida Birding Trail with over 150 identified bird species. Additional amenities include picnic pavilions, an accessible fishing dock, and interpretive programs. Firewood is available for purchase at the ranger station.
