About
Collier Memorial State Park is located 30 miles north of Klamath Falls along Highway 97 in a forested setting of ponderosa and lodgepole pine. The campground offers approximately 50 full hookup sites and 18 tent sites, with modern amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station. The park experienced a wildfire in September 2020, and fire-recovery restoration is ongoing. The park is home to Oregon's premier outdoor logging museum, showcasing rare and antique logging equipment dating from the 1880s, along with a relocated pioneer village that provides insight into the region's logging history. Recreational opportunities include fly fishing on the Williamson River and Spring Creek, hiking, and horseback riding on trails connecting to nearby areas. The horse camp features four corrals and primitive sites for equestrian campers. Located 25 miles from the southeast entrance to Crater Lake National Park, Collier Memorial State Park serves as a convenient base for exploring the region. Due to senior water rights claims, portions of the park including the Williamson Day Use Area are not irrigated. The park offers accessible campsites for visitors with disabilities.
