Open — Open year-round for camping at $10 per night. Potable water from the hand pump is only available spring through fall; during winter months, campers must bring their own water. A seasonal campground host is present mid-May through Labor Day.

CCC Campground sits in the Badlands of North Dakota within the Little Missouri National Grassland, offering a classic camping experience for outdoor enthusiasts. Recent renovations have enhanced the facility, which now features 38 campsites spread across three loops accommodating tent campers, RVs, and equestrian users. All sites include electrical hookups (20/30-watt amps at tent sites, 20/30/50-watt amps at RV and equestrian sites), picnic tables, and fire rings or charcoal grills. The campground serves as a popular trailhead for the Maah Daah Hey Trail and Long X Trail, making it a favorite destination for mountain bikers, hikers, and horseback riders. Equestrian facilities include corrals, highlines, hitchrails, and manure stations. The campground offers six accessible vault toilets, bike wash and maintenance racks near the trailheads, and is within walking distance of the Little Missouri River. A seasonal campground host is on-site 20 hours weekly from mid-May through Labor Day. Sixteen campsites operate on a first-come, first-served basis, while six sites are reservable through Recreation.gov. Pack-in, pack-out rules apply. The campground is located 16 miles south of Watford City via US-85 and Long X Road, with the McKenzie Ranger District managing the facility.

Sixteen miles south of Watford City. From Watford City head south on US-85 for 15 miles, turn west onto Long X Road and follow for one mile into the campground.
