This group campground is part of a larger state park that honors the famous aviator Charles A. Lindbergh, whose boyhood home sits across the street and is operated by the Minnesota Historical Society. The park features wooded campsites amid red and white pine, aspen, oak, and prairie openings. Campers can explore hiking trails that wind through the diverse landscape, with opportunities for year-round wildlife viewing including bald eagles. The Mississippi River provides access for fishing and paddling, while Pike Creek offers additional canoeing opportunities. In winter, the park's trails are available for cross-country skiing.
