Crow Wing State Park Camper Cabin

Open

The camper cabin operates seasonally from late April through early October. Reservations open 120 days in advance through the Minnesota DNR reservation system online or by phone.

About

Crow Wing State Park's camper cabin provides a rustic camping experience at the historic confluence of the Crow Wing and Mississippi Rivers. The one-room, 12x16 foot wooden cabin sleeps up to five people on wooden bunkbeds with mattresses provided. Guests must bring their own bedding and sleeping bags. A screened porch offers a pleasant space for observing birds and other wildlife. Notably, this camper cabin does not have electricity, distinguishing it from most other Minnesota state park cabins. Cooking must be done outdoors using the fire ring and grate provided at each cabin site. Indoor cooking is prohibited except for crockpots and coffeepots. The cabin is located near the park campground where seasonal restrooms, showers, and drinking water are available. Primitive vault toilets are accessible year-round. The park encompasses 2,042 acres of forests and prairies with trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. The campground offers 59 total sites, 12 with electric hookups, set among oak and pine trees with river views. Reservations for the camper cabin can be made up to 120 days in advance through the Minnesota DNR reservation system.
