About

Cedar Creek Campground occupies a scenic location at 4,800 feet elevation in the Sequoia National Forest, with Cedar Creek running the entire length of the campground on both the north and south sides of Highway 155. This small facility offers 11 campsites in a mountainous setting, providing a more rustic camping experience than many developed campgrounds in the area. When operational, the campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets and picnic tables at each site, though no potable water is available. Fishing opportunities exist along Cedar Creek. The campground is unsuitable for trailers due to site configurations and access limitations. No camping fees are charged, but campfire permits are required for any campfires, barbecues, or camp stoves. The campground has been closed since the 2016 Cedar Fire caused significant damage to the area. There is no announced reopening date. Highway 155 is subject to chain requirements during winter months due to snow.

Directions

From Glennville, travel 10 miles east on CA 155; the campground is on both sides of the highway. From Lake Isabella, head north on Highway 155 for 6 miles until it veers west, then continue west approximately 14 miles.
