Camp 3 Campground
Closed for the season. Opens June 1 and operates through September. Sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations.
About
Camp 3 Campground is a rustic backcountry facility in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests, specifically designed for equestrian and OHV campers. With just 4 camp units, this quiet site provides essential amenities for stock users including a loading ramp and corral. Vault toilets are available, but there is no developed water source. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Campers must bring ample water supplies and observe the pack-it-in, pack-it-out policy. The area offers fishing opportunities and proximity to a historic cabin. Wildlife and scenery viewing are popular activities along the Marble Creek corridor. Access requires driving 35 miles east of St. Maries on Forest Highway 50 to the Marble Creek Historical Site, then continuing 15 miles south on Forest Road 321. The remote location and forest road access make this campground best suited for those comfortable with backcountry conditions.
