About

Camp 3 Campground is a small, rustic facility located in the St. Joe River region of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The campground features 4 campsites, a stock loading ramp, and a corral, making it an ideal base for equestrian enthusiasts exploring the area on horseback. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water, so visitors must bring ample water supplies for drinking and cooking. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites cost $10 per night and include space for up to 2 vehicles, with additional vehicles charged $5 per night up to a 3-vehicle limit per site. The campground is open seasonally from June through September. Recreational opportunities include fishing and visiting a nearby historic cabin. The Pack it In Pack it Out policy is in effect, so visitors must carry out all refuse. The remote location is accessed by driving 35 miles east of St. Maries, Idaho on Forest Highway 50 to the Marble Creek Historical Site, then 15 miles south on Forest Road 321 (Marble Creek Road).
