Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest winds will occur through and below the Cajon Pass and adjacent foothills, below the San Gorgonio Pass, and through the canyons of the Santa Ana Mountains.

**Fire restrictions are currently in effect at this campground that prohibit wood fires, charcoal fires, wood-burning camp stoves, and charcoal grills. **Persons with a valid California Campfire Permit may use a portable campfire ring/pit, stove, or lantern in an area at least five feet from any flammable materials provided that the portable campfire ring/pit, stove, or lantern only burns gas, kerosene, jellied petroleum or pressurized liquid fuel, with a shut-off valve. About
Buttercup Group Camp is a secluded group campground nestled in the pine-covered mountains of San Bernardino National Forest at approximately 7,000 feet elevation. Located on the south side of Big Bear Lake near Pineknot Family Campground and Snow Summit Ski Resort, this site provides an ideal setting for group gatherings of up to 40 people. The campground is accessed via a dirt Forest Service road and offers essential amenities including 5 picnic tables, a double pedestal grill, and a group fire ring. Vault toilets are available, and potable water is provided on-site. The heavily forested setting provides shade and a sense of seclusion while remaining close to Big Bear Lake, approximately two miles away. Big Bear Lake offers excellent fishing opportunities for trout, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and largemouth bass. The surrounding area provides plentiful hiking, mountain biking, and climbing opportunities with access to numerous trails. Fire restrictions are currently in effect prohibiting wood and charcoal fires, though gas stoves and lanterns are permitted with a California Campfire Permit. All visitors must pack out their trash, and all pets must be leashed.
Directions
From San Bernardino, take I-10 east to Redlands. Take the University Street exit and turn left northbound. Turn right onto E. Lugonia Avenue/SR-38 and continue on State Highway 38 into Big Bear City to E. Big Bear Blvd. Turn left on E. Big Bear Blvd./SR-38 and continue westbound into the City of Big Bear Lake. Continue on Hwy 18 to Summit Blvd. Turn left on Summit Blvd. and continue to the end. Turn left on the last road at the end of Summit Blvd. and continue past Pineknot Campground about 0.1 mile to Buttercup Group Camp.
