Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest winds will occur through and below the Cajon Pass and adjacent foothills, below the San Gorgonio Pass, and through the canyons of the Santa Ana Mountains.

**Fire restrictions are currently in effect at this campground that prohibit wood fires, charcoal fires, wood-burning camp stoves, and charcoal grills. **Persons with a valid California Campfire Permit may use a portable campfire ring/pit, stove, or lantern in an area at least five feet from any flammable materials provided that the portable campfire ring/pit, stove, or lantern only burns gas, kerosene, jellied petroleum or pressurized liquid fuel, with a shut-off valve. The Oso Group Campground is nestled in the beautiful Barton Flats area of the San Bernardino Mountains, surrounded by picturesque pine trees at an elevation of 6,400 feet. This group campground accommodates up to 100 people and 20 vehicles, making it ideal for large gatherings, family reunions, or organized group outings. The site features picnic tables, pedestal grills, and one group fire ring. The campground provides excellent access to outdoor recreation opportunities. The famed Santa Ana River Trail can be accessed directly from the campground and is popular for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The Rio Monte Trail leads hikers to the Rio Monte Panorama, which overlooks the deep gorge of the Santa Ana River Valley. Nearby Jenks Lake offers fishing for stocked rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill, sunfish, and catfish, with non-motorized boating permitted for rowboats, canoes, and kayaks. The campground shares the region with diverse wildlife and bird species. The Grayback Amphitheater on State Route 38 provides evening educational programs on most summer weekends, hosted by the San Gorgonio Wilderness Association. Firewood is available for purchase at nearby San Gorgonio Campground. The campground requires a 2-day minimum stay on weekends and a 3-day minimum on holiday weekends.
Directions
Take I-10 East to Redlands. Take the University Street exit, EXIT 80. Turn left northbound on University Street. Turn right onto E. Lugonia Avenue/SR-38. Continue on State Highway 38 for approximately 22 miles to the campground entrance.
