About

Serrano Campground sits in the San Bernardino Mountains on the north shore of Big Bear Lake, offering a scenic pine forest setting accessed via the Rim of the World Scenic Byway. The campground features over 100 campsites for both tent and RV camping, with approximately two dozen sites providing full utility hookups. Modern amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, a dump station, bear-proof food storage boxes, fire rings with grills, and picnic tables at each site. The location provides easy access to outdoor recreation. The Alpine Pedal Path and Cougar Crest Trail are nearby and connect to the Pacific Crest Trail. While the campground doesn't offer direct lake access, a boat ramp is about a mile away, and Big Bear Lake offers fishing for trout, bass, catfish, carp, bluegill, and crappie. The Big Bear Ranger Station and Big Bear Discovery Center are within a mile, providing trail information, interpretive programs, and educational exhibits. The campground is managed by Mountain Top Recreation and operates seasonally from March through November.
