About

Brush Creek Park, also known as Chattahoochee Old Town, sits along the banks of West Point Lake in Heard County, Georgia. Managed by Heard County rather than the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this campground offers 35 waterfront sites with options for both developed RV camping and primitive tent camping. Full-hookup sites provide electric and water connections, while a dump station serves the campground. The park features bathhouses with restrooms and showers, multiple picnic pavilions available for rental, and direct boat access to West Point Lake. Beyond camping, recreational amenities include a playground, basketball court, and baseball field. The area serves as habitat for American bald eagles, offering wildlife viewing opportunities. Gates open at 7 AM and close at 10 PM daily. Campers may reserve sites up to 30 days in advance, with a maximum consecutive stay of 60 days. After 60 days, campers must leave for 30 days before returning.
