About

Blanco State Park is a compact riverside gem along the spring-fed Blanco River in Blanco County, Texas. Established in the 1930s, the park showcases beautiful Civilian Conservation Corps stonework throughout its grounds. The one-mile stretch of river running through the park offers swimming, tubing, fishing for perch, catfish, and bass, and an ADA-accessible kayak launch. A park store provides supplies and watercraft rentals. The campground offers 29 sites in a loop near the river, ranging from full hookup premium sites with 30/50-amp electric and sewer to standard water/electric sites. Each site includes a picnic table, shade shelter, lantern post, and fire ring with grill. Restrooms with showers are centrally located in the campground loop, including an ADA-accessible restroom. Screened shelters overlooking the river provide an alternative to tent or RV camping. The Pumphouse Trail offers easy walking on a caliche surface, leading to a bird blind and a scenic deck overlooking the river. The park's proximity to the town of Blanco and its location equidistant from Austin and San Antonio make it a convenient Hill Country getaway.
