About

Cranes Mill Park sits on a long peninsula extending into Canyon Lake from the southwestern shore, where the Guadalupe River flows into the lake. Located in Texas Hill Country halfway between Austin and San Antonio, the campground offers dramatic sunrise views across Canyon Lake to the east and sunset views over the Guadalupe River to the west. The campground consists of two loops: Loop 1 contains 30 RV sites with 50-amp electric and water hookups accommodating rigs up to 70 feet, while Loop 2 has 34 tent sites with water and some electric service. All sites include a picnic table, fire ring, and standing grill with closable lid. The park provides flush restrooms with hot and cold showers, a dump station, two fishing piers, and a two-lane boat ramp with courtesy dock. An adjacent marina and designated swim beach serve campers. The peninsula is home to abundant wildlife including deer, squirrel, fox, armadillo, raccoon, cardinals, dove, mockingbirds, finch, and swallow. Nearby attractions include the Guadalupe River for trout fishing, Historic Downtown Gruene, Natural Bridge Caverns, and the San Antonio River Walk.
