About

Big Bend Campground offers a scenic creekside setting in the Inyo National Forest at 7,800 feet elevation, nestled along Lee Vining Creek. The 17 campsites provide convenient access to Yosemite National Park via the Tuolumne Meadows entrance on Highway 120, making it a popular staging area for exploring the high country without competing for limited in-park camping. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day stay limit. Each site includes a bear-proof food storage locker (48" x 30" x 36"), which is mandatory to use in this active bear area. Drinking water is available from a hand pump, and vault toilets serve the campground. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 30 feet in length. Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The surrounding forest provides opportunities for fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The campground's elevation means cooler temperatures even in summer, and visitors should come prepared for variable mountain weather.
