* WHAT...Snow. Snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches along and just west of Highway 395 from June Lake to Mammoth Lakes. Above 8000 feet, 6 to 12 inches with up to 18 inches along the Sierra crest. Along Highway 395 near Bridgeport and Lee Vining, up to 2 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph, with gusts reaching 75 mph along the Sierra crest. * WHERE...Mono County. * WHEN...From 10 PM Monday to 4 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes, as well as the Wednesday morning commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Boulder Campground is situated in the scenic Lee Vining Canyon along Highway 120, the eastern gateway to Yosemite National Park. Located approximately 3.5 miles west of Lee Vining on Poole Power Plant Road, this Inyo National Forest campground sits at an elevation of 7,390 feet in a forested setting near Lee Vining Creek. The campground provides primitive camping with basic amenities and no hookups. Sites include picnic tables and fire rings, with bear lockers likely available given the proximity to Yosemite. The location offers excellent access to fishing in Lee Vining Creek and serves as a popular overflow option when Yosemite's Tuolumne Meadows campgrounds are full during peak summer season. Operating seasonally from late spring through mid-fall, the campground typically closes for winter due to snow and weather conditions at this elevation. The area is known for its dramatic mountain scenery and serves as a convenient staging area for visitors heading into Yosemite via Tioga Pass.
Directions
From the junction of Highway 395 and Highway 120 in Lee Vining, turn west on Highway 120 and proceed approximately 3.5 miles to Poole Power Plant Road. Turn left and then a quick right into the campground.
