About

Junction Campground is located at 9,600 feet elevation near the Tioga Pass entrance of Yosemite National Park, positioned at the junction of Highway 120 and Saddlebag Lake Road in the Inyo National Forest. The campground features 13 first-come, first-served campsites nestled among pines, with most sites offering shade. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and bear-proof food storage locker. The campground layout accommodates different vehicle sizes: sites 1-5 can handle RVs or multiple vehicles with parking up to 40 feet, while sites 6-13 are designed for single vehicles not exceeding 18 feet. The narrow gravel campground road is not recommended for trailers or large vehicles beyond site 5. Vault toilets are located near sites 3 and 10, accessed by dirt paths. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own. This is an active bear area, and use of the provided bear boxes is mandatory. The campground enforces a 14-day stay limit and a maximum of 6 people per site. Pets must be leashed. The high elevation setting and proximity to Yosemite make this a popular base for exploring the eastern Sierra and high country.
