About

Located in the scenic Mono Basin region of Inyo National Forest, Aspen Campground offers 45 campsites at an elevation of 7,490 feet. The campground is accessed via Highway 120 west from Highway 395, then turning onto Poole Power Plant Road. This area provides excellent proximity to Mono Lake, the Eastern Sierra, and Tioga Pass for exploring Yosemite's high country. The campground operates first-come, first-served with no advance reservations available. Each site includes a bear-proof food storage locker, which must be used as this is active bear habitat. Vault toilets are provided. Maximum occupancy is 6 people and 2 vehicles per site, with quiet hours enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on leash. This is a seasonal campground that closes during winter months due to snow. Opening dates vary depending on snowpack and conditions. The campground sees heavy usage during summer season.
