Belle Isle State Park Campground

Open — Full-service camping season runs from the first Friday in March through the first Monday in December. Primitive hike-in or paddle-in camping at Brewers Point is available year-round. Open fires are prohibited between February 15 and April 30 annually, except between 4 p.m. and midnight.

About

Belle Isle State Park Campground sits on 892 acres along seven miles of Rappahannock River shoreline in Virginia's Northern Neck. The full-service campground features 28 sites with electric and water hookups that accept 20, 30, and 50-amp current, accommodating tents, pop-ups, and RVs up to 45 feet. Each site includes a fire ring grill, picnic table, lantern hanger, and 15' x 24' tent pad. A modern bathhouse provides hot showers, wash sinks for dishes, and laundry facilities. The camp store sells camping supplies, firewood, ice, bait, and gift items. For a more primitive experience, Brewers Point offers four year-round hike-in or paddle-in tent sites located 1.5 miles from the nearest parking area. These sites feature tent pads, picnic tables, fire pits, and a pit toilet, but no electricity or potable water. Motor vehicle access is not permitted to these sites. The park's diverse habitats include tidal wetlands, farmland, and upland forests, providing excellent wildlife viewing opportunities for bald eagles, osprey, blue herons, white-tailed deer, and turkeys. Nearly 10 miles of multi-use trails traverse the property, along with a universally accessible boardwalk and fishing pier. Boaters enjoy both motorboat and car-top launches, with canoe and kayak rentals available seasonally. The park also features historic Bel Air mansion and guest house available for overnight rental, three picnic shelters, and ranger-led programs including guided paddle trips.
