About

Beavers Bend State Park occupies 3,482 acres in the mountainous region of southeast Oklahoma along the shores of Broken Bow Lake and the Mountain Fork River. The park offers one of the most diverse camping experiences in the Oklahoma state park system, with 393 RV campsites and over 50 tent sites distributed across eight camping areas. The River Area campgrounds include Acorn and Cypress with water and electric hookups (50-amp and 30-amp respectively), Fern with 30-amp electric near the miniature train and stables, and primitive tent-only areas at Dogwood, Elm, Grapevine, and Hickory. The Lake Area campgrounds feature Armadillo (50-amp), Quail (30-amp), and Turkey, the only modern campground with water, 30-amp electric, and sewer hookups. Tent camping in the Lake Area is available at Bluejay, Coyote, Deer, and Eagle. Beyond camping, the park offers extensive recreation including hiking, biking, boating, fishing, water skiing, canoeing, horseback riding, and nature center programs. The Mountain Fork River below Broken Bow Dam is stocked year-round with rainbow and brown trout, with two catch-and-release trophy areas.
