About

Lost Rapids Campground sits on the eastern shores of Pine Creek Lake in southeastern Oklahoma, at the edge of the scenic Ouachita Mountains. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this pleasant campground is shaded by mature trees and attracts campers who enjoy birding, fishing, boating, and wildlife photography. The campground features 30 tent and RV sites, with approximately half offering 30-amp electric hookups. One group campsite with 4 electric hookups is also available. Amenities include flush toilets, drinking water, and a convenient boat ramp for lake access. Pine Creek Lake, fed by the Little River, encompasses 3,750 acres with 74 miles of shoreline. Anglers can target crappie, white bass, largemouth bass, channel catfish, flathead catfish, and various sunfish species. Nearby attractions include Beavers Bend State Park, Raymond Gary State Park, and the historic ruins of Fort Towson, a Confederate command post built in 1824. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov, with peak season running from March through October.
