About

Pine Creek Cove is an Army Corps of Engineers campground located on the western shore of Pine Creek Lake near the main dam in McCurtain County, Oklahoma. The campground sits at the edge of the Ouachita Mountains in southeastern Oklahoma, providing scenic access to Pine Creek Lake, which is fed by the Little River and encompasses 3,750 acres with 74 miles of shoreline. The campground features 41 campsites, most with electric and water hookups, plus one primitive non-electric site. A group camping shelter with electric hookups is also available. Modern amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, a dump station, and an on-site boat ramp. The campground's swimming beach is popular with families and offers opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and sandcastle building. The location near the dam provides convenient access to prime fishing spots on the lake, which is known for excellent angling opportunities. Boating, picnicking, and birding are popular activities. Nearby attractions include Beavers Bend and Raymond Gary State Parks, as well as the historic ruins of Fort Towson, a Confederate command post built in 1824.
