About

Turkey Creek Park is a small Corps of Engineers campground situated on the western shores of Pine Creek Lake where the Little River flows into the lake. The campground offers 30 reservable campsites, with eight sites providing 30-amp electric hookups and the remaining 22 sites being primitive without hookups. A day-use picnic shelter is also available. Amenities include flush toilets, a playground, and a boat ramp for lake access. Pine Creek Lake spans 3,750 acres with 74 miles of shoreline in the southeast corner of Oklahoma at the edge of the Ouachita Mountains. The lake is surrounded by hardwood and pine forests, creating a peaceful, scenic setting. Visitors come for fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. Common fish species include crappie, white bass, largemouth bass, channel catfish, flathead catfish, and various types of sunfish. Nearby attractions include Beavers Bend and Raymond Gary State Parks, as well as the historic ruins of Fort Towson, a Confederate command post built in 1824. The campground is accessible via Highway 3 west from Broken Bow, followed by a 5-mile access road north to the park.
