About
Lyman Lake State Park sits at 6,000 feet elevation in Arizona's White Mountains, offering a 1,200-acre park surrounding a 1,500-acre reservoir. The campground provides 56 sites spread across two loops, with options ranging from full-hookup RV sites to non-hookup tent camping. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grate. Modern restrooms with showers are available throughout the camping area. The lake is known for excellent fishing, particularly for largemouth bass found in the shoreline weed areas and rocky points, along with walleye and channel catfish. The west end of the lake features a no-wake zone reserved for anglers seeking quieter waters, while the rest of the lake permits open boating, water-skiing, and swimming. A paved boat ramp provides easy lake access. Beyond camping and fishing, the park features hiking trails of varying difficulty and a petroglyph site accessible by boat. The park store offers supplies seasonally, and eight camping cabins with lake views provide an alternative to tent or RV camping.
