Open from the third Friday in April through the fourth Monday in October, weather permitting. Currently within the 2026 operating season. Reservations available online, by phone, or at park headquarters. Minimum two consecutive nights on weekends, one night Sunday through Thursday, 14-night maximum stay.

Babcock State Park Campground sits in the forested hills of Fayette County, about 20 miles southeast of the New River Gorge Bridge. The campground offers 52 sites spread across a wooded setting: 28 sites have electric-only hookups (four of which are ADA accessible) and 24 are non-electric, all accommodating tents or trailers. A central bathhouse provides restrooms, showers, and coin-operated laundry facilities. Campers have access to two water fill-up stations, two sewage dump facilities, WiFi, and cell service from most major carriers. Firewood and ice are available for purchase. The park is best known for the Glade Creek Grist Mill, a fully functional replica that draws visitors year-round. Over 20 miles of hiking and biking trails wind through the 4,127-acre park, and a stocked lake offers fishing and boating opportunities. The campground operates from the third Friday in April through the fourth Monday in October, weather permitting. Reservations require a minimum two-night stay on weekends or one night Sunday through Thursday, with a 14-night maximum stay. Check-in is at 1 p.m. and check-out is at noon.
