The campground is surrounded by Summersville Lake on three sides, providing stunning water views and direct lake access. An accessible boat ramp and fishing dock are on-site, and younger campers enjoy the playground and nature trails. The 2,790-acre lake is known for superb water quality and striking sandstone cliffs along 60 miles of shoreline, making it popular for boating, water skiing, swimming, scuba diving, and fishing for largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, panfish, and catfish. The surrounding area offers exceptional outdoor recreation opportunities. World-renowned rock climbing at New River Gorge is just 18 miles south, with over 1,400 established routes. Year-round whitewater rafting is available on the Gauley River.
