However, according to the official Santa Fe National Forest website, the forest does not currently have cabins available for public rental. This listing may refer to a private recreation residence, which are permitted on forest land but not available for public reservation. Alternatively, there may be confusion with Aspen Basin Campground, a nearby 10-unit campground located adjacent to the Santa Fe Ski Basin parking area. The area is accessed via Highway 475 (Hyde Park Road) from Santa Fe. The region experiences heavy winter snow and is popular for fall aspen viewing and summer recreation.
