About

Cover Campground offers a peaceful retreat along Jackson Creek in the Tiller Ranger District of Umpqua National Forest. The 7 campsites sit beneath a canopy of Douglas fir trees at an elevation of 1,700 feet, where snow cover is rare even in winter. The campground provides direct access to swimming spots along the creek, making it a refreshing summer destination. The setting is particularly scenic in spring when butterflies flock to the shores of Jackson Creek. Amenities are basic: vault toilets and picnic tables are provided, but campers must bring their own drinking water. The maximum vehicle length is 22 feet, so large RVs won't fit. Campfires are permitted only in developed fire pits, and fireworks and OHV/ATV use are prohibited. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with payment via fee envelopes on-site. Dogs are welcome but must remain leashed. Quiet hours are observed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
