Alcohol Prohibitions
This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.
Aquatic Invasive Species
This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.
Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products
This Order prohibits unloading, storing, or using any straw, hay, grain, seed, or other forage or mulch products that are not state-certified weed free on the National Forest System lands, roads or trails in any Closure Area as specific in the Order.
Umpqua National Forest Ranger Stations Holiday Closures
All Umpqua National Forest Offices will be closed on December 24 and December 25, 2025 and January 1, 2026.Umpqua National Forest Headquarters in Roseburg will be closed December 25 and December 26, 2025.
Forest Road Closures and Delays
Expect DelaysOn the Cottage Grove Ranger District, Herman Creek Bridge repair and work on National Forest Service Road 1700-623 is occurring. One lane will remain open, expect delays. Drive with caution in the area as staff may also be working under the bridge.

About
Boulder Creek Campground offers a secluded retreat along the South Umpqua River in the Tiller Ranger District of Umpqua National Forest. With only seven campsites available, this intimate campground provides an authentic forest camping experience surrounded by mixed conifer forest. The campground is located near the mouth of Boulder Creek and offers a peaceful setting for visitors looking to immerse themselves in nature. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites are $10 per night with an additional $5 fee for extra vehicles. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire pit. Vault toilets are available on-site. Campers should note that potable water is not currently available at the campground, so visitors must bring their own drinking water. The maximum RV length is 35 feet, and quiet hours are enforced between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Recreational opportunities include hiking and swimming in the South Umpqua River. The campground is situated along County Road 46 (South Umpqua Road), approximately 14 miles from the town of Tiller. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet. OHV/ATV use is prohibited within the campground, and the maximum stay is 14 days. Visitors should be aware that poison oak may be present in the area.
Directions
From Canyonville, turn southeast on Main Street onto 3rd Street/OR-227. Continue on OR-227 for approximately 23 miles to Tiller. Turn left onto County Road 46 (South Umpqua Road) and continue for 14 miles. The campground entrance is on the right.
