Village Creek State Park Campground is situated on Arkansas' second-largest state park, encompassing nearly 7,000 acres of beautiful forested hills and clear streams atop the unique Crowley's Ridge landform. The campground offers 96 campsites ranging from full hookup sites with water, sewer, and 50-amp electric service (Class AAA) to sites with water and 30-amp electric (Class B). All camping areas have bathhouses for guest convenience. A dedicated equestrian campground with stable facilities is available for horseback riders, though equestrian trails close when wet due to the fragile soil conditions on Crowley's Ridge. The park provides exceptional outdoor recreation opportunities including 33 miles of multi-use trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, plus seven miles of dedicated hiking trails. Two lakes offer fishing and paddling opportunities with kayak rentals available. The Ridges at Village Creek, an Andy Dye-designed 27-hole championship golf course, is rated Arkansas' top public golf course by Golfweek Magazine. The park holds historical significance as a certified site on the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail, featuring some of the most intact preserved remnants of the removal trail used by Cherokee, Choctaw, Creek, and Chickasaw nations in the 1830s. A visitor center with museum, gift shop, and interpretive programs available year-round provides educational opportunities about the natural and cultural heritage of the Crowley's Ridge region.
