About

Storm Creek Lake Campground sits within Mississippi River State Park on the shores of Storm Creek Lake, a 420-acre lake created in 1938 within the St. Francis National Forest. The campground underwent major renovations and reopened in 2022 with upgraded facilities throughout. The forested setting provides a quiet retreat with excellent access to fishing, swimming, and paddling. The campground offers three accommodation types: 11 full-service RV campsites with electric, water, and sewer hookups; three walk-in tent sites with electricity and shared water access; and five camper cabins that sleep up to four guests with queen beds and bunk beds. Each campsite and cabin includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and lantern post. A family-style bathhouse provides flush toilets and hot showers with full privacy. Recreation centers on Storm Creek Lake, which is stocked with bass, bream, crappie, catfish, and hybrid striped bass. The swim beach features a kayak and paddleboard rental kiosk. Bear Creek Lake Recreation Area is nearby for additional fishing and paddling options.
