T.O. Fuller State Park Campground is situated in a historic 783-acre park in southwest Memphis, originally established in 1938 as the first state park for African Americans east of the Mississippi River. Named after Dr. Thomas O. Fuller, a prominent educator and civic leader, the park offers 45 well-shaded campsites under hardwood trees. The campground accommodates both RV and tent campers, with some sites large enough for rigs up to 85 feet. Each site features electric and water hookups, a picnic table, lantern hanger, fire ring, and grill. A centrally located bathhouse provides restroom facilities, hot showers, and coin-operated laundry. Additional amenities include a playground, picnic shelter, and a dump station near the campground entrance. Reservations are accepted through the Tennessee State Parks system with a two-week maximum stay limit. The campground's location provides convenient access to Memphis attractions while offering a peaceful natural setting with mature trees and trails. Campers are asked to use only heat-treated firewood or wood collected within the park to protect against invasive pests.

T.O. Fuller State Park is located in South Memphis on Mitchell Road, just off 1500 W. Mitchell Road, Memphis, TN 38109. Use the park's main entrance and follow signs to the campground area. The park is accessible from major Memphis highways and is the only Tennessee state park within Memphis city limits.
