Open year-round. Visitor Center hours are daily 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Swimming at Storm Creek Lake is available Memorial Day through Labor Day without lifeguard supervision. Primitive campgrounds (Lone Pine and Maple Flats) are accessible by dirt roads only.
About
Mississippi River State Park provides quality access to the St. Francis National Forest and endless adventures where the Mississippi River, Crowley's Ridge, and the Arkansas Delta meet. The park spans hardwood forests to the sandy shores of the Mississippi River, featuring three lakes, the All American Great River Road, and Crowley's Ridge Parkway (both National Scenic Byways), four hiking trails, and two recreational areas.
Camping options include Beech Point Campground at Bear Creek Lake (sites 1-14 with full hookups, sites 15T-17T tent-only), Storm Creek Lake Campground (sites 32-45 with full hookups, sites 38-40 bike-in tent sites), Lone Pine Campground (sites 18-31 primitive), and Maple Flats Group Campground (primitive group area). Five distinctive camper cabins at Storm Creek Lake sleep up to four people and include queen beds, bunk beds, heating/AC, screened porches, outdoor grills, and fire pits. The developed campgrounds feature modern bathhouses with hot showers and free Wi-Fi.
Recreation includes a swim beach at Storm Creek Lake (Memorial Day through Labor Day, no lifeguard), kayak/paddleboard/boat rentals, accessible fishing piers at both lakes, and hiking trails. The visitor center is open daily 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
