Petit Jean State Park Campground is situated atop Petit Jean Mountain in Arkansas' oldest state park, established in 1923. The campground features 125 total campsites divided into four main areas (A, B, C, and D), plus an overflow area (E). Area A is located near Lake Bailey with lakefront sites, while Areas B, C, and D offer wooded settings on the south side of Highway 154. The campground includes 55 Class AAA sites with 50-amp electrical, water, and sewer hookups, and 70 Class B sites with 30-amp electrical and water hookups. Twenty-five pull-through sites accommodate larger RVs. Each of the four main camping areas includes a modern bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets. A centrally located dump station serves the campground. The overflow area (Area E, sites 130-151) offers 30-amp electric and water hookups but does not have picnic tables, fire rings, charcoal grills, or a bathhouse. Ground fires are not allowed in Area E; only portable fire pits are permitted. The park also features a unique fly-in campground near the airport with five tent sites. Campers are minutes away from the park's attractions, including Cedar Falls, scenic overlooks, multiple hiking trails, and Lake Bailey for boating and fishing. The park sits at nearly 1,100 feet elevation, offering beautiful views of the surrounding Arkansas River Valley. Many of the park's historic structures were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

From Morrilton, Arkansas, take I-40 Exit #108 and travel nine miles south on Ark. 9, then go 12 miles west on Ark. 154 to the park.
