Lake Sylvia State Park Campground

Lake Sylvia Recreation Area provides a forested camping experience in the northeastern corner of the Ouachita National Forest, only 38 miles west of Little Rock. The park is centered on an 18-acre lake surrounded by pine and oak-covered mountains, offering swimming, fishing, and a peaceful retreat from the city. The shaded campground features two loops with 14 RV sites equipped with 30-amp electric and water hookups, plus Wi-Fi access. Primitive tent sites and two group camping areas accommodate tent campers and larger parties. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern post. A central bathhouse provides hot showers in the main loop and cold showers in the primitive loop. Beyond camping, visitors can explore a trail system that includes easy nature walks like the Trees of the Forest Trail and Wildlife Trail, as well as connections to the Ouachita National Recreation Trail for extended backpacking trips. A swimming beach with bathhouses, playground, and event center round out the facilities. The park is now managed by Arkansas State Parks while remaining within the Ouachita National Forest.

From Little Rock, travel west on Highway 10 for approximately 38 miles. Turn south on Highway 324 near Perryville. The recreation area is located at 810 Highway 324 South, Perryville, AR 72126.
