About
Bear Creek Equestrian Camp sits in an attractive wooded setting along a stream bank in the rugged Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas. Managed by the Jessieville Winona Fourche Ranger District, this primitive horse camp provides a base for exploring the Bear Creek Trail system, which consists of four loops offering day or weekend trip opportunities through diverse terrain including forested creeks, panoramic vistas, and striking rock formations. The campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and grills, though campers must bring their own drinking water as none is available on site. There are no fees to camp here, making it an economical choice for equestrian enthusiasts. The site is suitable for small trailers only, with a maximum stay of 14 days and a limit of 6 persons per site.
