About
Lake Frierson State Park Campground sits on the wooded shores of Lake Frierson, a 335-acre lake known for year-round fishing for bass, crappie, catfish, and bream. Located 10 miles north of Jonesboro on Crowley's Ridge, this small campground provides a relaxed atmosphere for anglers and nature enthusiasts seeking a quiet retreat.
The campground offers seven total sites: five Class B sites feature level pads with lake views, 30-amp electric hookups, water connections, fire rings, picnic tables, barbecue grills, and lantern hangers. Two Class D tent sites provide a more primitive experience without hookups. ADA-accessible composting toilets serve the campground area, though campers should note there are no showers or dump station facilities.
Beyond camping, the park features a boat launch, fishing pier, and rental fishing boats and kayaks. Hiking trails wind through the surrounding hardwood forest, and the visitor center houses nature exhibits and a bait shop. Picnic areas with restrooms (open March through November) provide additional day-use options.
