About

Located at the historic confluence of the White and Black Rivers, Jacksonport State Park Campground provides a peaceful riverside camping experience steeped in Civil War and steamboat era history. The campground features 20 well-spaced Class A campsites equipped with 50-amp electrical service and water hookups, suitable for RVs and trailers. The park offers modern amenities alongside historical attractions. Campers enjoy access to a swimming beach on the White River (no lifeguard), the half-mile Tunstall Riverwalk nature trail along the riverbank, a pavilion, playground, and public boat launch. The restored 1872 courthouse now serves as a free museum with exhibits about the town's steamboat port history and Civil War occupation. Open year-round, Jacksonport State Park provides a quiet rural camping experience less than an hour from Jonesboro and under two hours from Memphis. The visitor center offers interpretive programs year-round, with varying seasonal hours. Restrooms are available March through November.
