About
Jacksonport State Park sits at the confluence of the White and Black Rivers in northeast Arkansas, a location that made it a thriving river port during the steamboat era of the mid-1800s. The park preserves this heritage through its restored 1869 Courthouse, now a visitor center with exhibits on Civil War history and the region's river commerce past. The campground offers 20 Class A campsites with 50-amp electrical service and water hookups, suitable for RVs up to 45 feet. The park operates year-round, though restroom facilities are only available March through November. Amenities include a free swimming beach (no lifeguard), boat ramp, playground, pavilion, and picnic areas. The Tunstall Riverwalk, a half-mile paved trail along the river, provides easy walking access and scenic overlooks. The park's riverside setting offers opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing along the White River.
