About

Lake Chicot State Park Campground is located on the banks of Lake Chicot, a 20-mile-long oxbow lake formed when a bend of the Mississippi River was cut off from the main channel. As the largest natural lake in Arkansas and the largest oxbow lake in North America, it provides exceptional fishing opportunities for bass, bream, crappie, and catfish. The campground features 78 campsites with varying levels of service. Class AAA sites offer full hookups including water, 50-amp electrical service, and sewer connections, making them ideal for larger RVs. Additional site types provide partial hookups with water and electricity. All camping areas have access to clean restrooms and hot showers year-round. Beyond camping, the park offers a marina with boat rentals, a visitor center, and a seasonal swimming pool open Wednesday through Sunday until Labor Day. The park store operates seasonally, typically closing from November through February. Pavilions and a meeting hall with kitchen facilities are available for group gatherings.
