About

Leroy Percy State Park holds the distinction of being Mississippi's oldest state park, located 5 miles west of Hollandale off Highway 12 in the Mississippi Delta. The 2,400-acre park is characterized by artesian springs that feed cypress-lined waterways, creating a unique ecosystem where ancient oaks and moss-draped cypress trees provide a distinctive atmosphere for camping. The campground offers 16 RV sites with full hookups including water, electric, and sewer connections on level concrete pads that can accommodate rigs up to 40 feet. A separate wooded area provides primitive tent camping sites. A centrally located bathhouse features hot showers and laundry facilities, and a dump station is available for RV campers. The park's main attraction is Alligator Lake, home to American alligators that can be safely observed from two elevated observation towers. Recreational opportunities include an 18-hole disc golf course, fishing, kayaking, hiking trails, and seasonal hunting for deer, turkey, and waterfowl.
