About
Antelope Campground occupies a forested setting on the north end of Sagehen Reservoir in Idaho's Boise National Forest. At 5,031 feet elevation, the campground is shaded by towering Ponderosa pine, Engelmann spruce, Douglas fir, and grand fir. Most sites offer plentiful shade with some partial lake views. Summer temperatures typically range from 80-90 degrees during the day with cool nights. The campground features 13 standard nonelectric single-family sites plus one large group tent area accommodating up to 30 people. All sites include picnic tables and fire rings; the group site also has a grill. Vault toilets and hand-pumped drinking water are provided. Firewood is available for purchase from the camp host. Sagehen Reservoir offers excellent boating, canoeing, and rainbow trout fishing with a boat ramp and dock located within the campground. The non-motorized Sagehen Reservoir Trail provides a 4-mile loop around the lake with fishing spots, scenic viewpoints, and wildlife watching. The Sagehen and KYAOTT ATV trail systems accessible nearby offer over 35 miles of trails for off-road vehicles, motorcycles, mountain bikers, and horseback riders.
