About

Anglers Campground (sites 42-57) is the premier camping destination at Zippel Bay State Park, a 3,000-acre park on the shores of Lake of the Woods in northwestern Minnesota. The campground shares a road with the marina, making it the most accessible option for anglers and boaters seeking quick access to one of North America's finest walleye fisheries. The 16 non-electric sites are the park's most accommodating for larger RVs and trailers. Each campsite features a fire ring with grill and picnic table, shaded by mature trees. Vault toilets and a hand pump provide basic amenities within the campground loop. Hot showers (coin-operated) and a dump station are available elsewhere in the park from mid-May through late September. A nature store at the contact station sells firewood and basic supplies. Beyond fishing, the park offers a swimming beach on the big lake, hiking trails through diverse habitats that attract sandhill cranes and piping plovers, and in winter, snowmobile trail access to Lake of the Woods.
