About

Anderson Camp is a campground managed by the U.S. Forest Service within the Custer Gallatin National Forest in Park County, Montana. The Custer Gallatin National Forest encompasses more than 3 million acres of diverse landscapes vital to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, stretching across multiple ranger districts in Montana. The forest is known for its ecological diversity, ranging from rugged mountains to remote wilderness areas. As part of this system, Anderson Camp provides access to the natural beauty and recreation opportunities of the region. The campground is subject to seasonal operations typical of high-elevation or mountain campgrounds in this area. Visitors to the Custer Gallatin National Forest should be bear aware, as a food storage order is in place throughout the forest to protect both human safety and native wildlife.
