About

Allen Springs Campground occupies a prime spot along the Metolius River in Deschutes National Forest, where the river broadens to offer excellent views. The campground is set among mature Ponderosa pines that provide welcome shade during summer months. With just 16 sites arranged in a circular layout, the campground maintains a quiet, intimate atmosphere. The setting favors tent camping, though the 36-foot maximum spur length can accommodate small RVs and trailers. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water on site, so campers must bring their own supply. The Metolius basin offers excellent hiking and biking opportunities, with trails accessible nearby. The town of Sisters is about 20 miles away and provides additional services and access to Sisters Wilderness trails.
