Alamo Lake State Park sits in a remote section of the Sonoran Desert, 37 miles north of Wenden in La Paz County. The lake is renowned as one of the best bass fishing destinations in Arizona, with crystal-clear waters surrounded by mountainous terrain covered in brush, wildflowers, and cacti. The isolation makes it exceptional for stargazing and wildlife viewing, with opportunities to spot bald and golden eagles, waterfowl, foxes, coyotes, mule deer, and wild burros. The park offers a range of camping options across multiple campgrounds. Campground F provides 15 full-hookup sites (water, electric, sewer) at $50 per night. Campground C has 40 water/electric sites at $40 per night. Campground B features 42 mixed-amenity sites from $25-$40. Campground A offers 17 basic sites with both back-in and pull-through options at $25. Campgrounds D and E provide dry camping at $25 per night. All sites include picnic tables and fire rings. Facilities include vault toilets throughout, showers in campgrounds A and C, two dump stations, dumpsters for trash, and a visitor center/camp store carrying fishing supplies, firewood, ice, food, and camping essentials. The park has two paved boat ramps for lake access. Pets are welcome on leashes up to six feet.

Located 37 miles north of Wenden, Arizona. From US-60, take Alamo Road north for approximately 37 miles to the park entrance.
