About

Crossroads Campground is located on the riverfront of the Lower Colorado River within the Parker Strip Recreation Area, managed by the BLM Lake Havasu Field Office. This small riverside campground is popular with winter visitors seeking warm temperatures and Colorado River access. The campground features 26 sites total, including one ADA-accessible site and three first-come, first-served sites. All sites are dry camping with no hookups and include a picnic table and grill. The campground sits along a scenic stretch of the Colorado River, backdropped by steep rocky terrain and wind-shaped sand dunes. Half of the campsites are located directly adjacent to the river with beach access. The area offers excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, canoeing, and swimming in the river, though caution is advised due to the current. The Rock House Visitor Center and free boat launch are within a mile of the campground. Crossroads Campground is a gateway to diverse desert recreation. The adjacent Crossroads OHV Area and nearby Copper Basin Dunes provide miles of off-highway vehicle riding opportunities. The Parker Dam Road Scenic Backcountry Byway runs through the area, offering access to various recreation sites. Rock hounding, hiking, and biking are also popular activities. Access from Lake Havasu City requires crossing Parker Dam, which prohibits oversized vehicles and trailers; larger rigs must access via Parker to the south.

Directions

From Lake Havasu City, drive about 45 minutes south over Parker Dam onto the California side of the Colorado River. Note: Oversized vehicles and vehicles towing trailers are not permitted to cross the dam and must access via Parker. Located about 9 miles south of Parker Dam on the California side, turn left at the BLM sign. From Parker, drive north across the bridge over the Colorado River and turn right. Crossroads Campground is 7 miles ahead on the right.
