About

Alamo Lake State Park sits in the Bill Williams River Valley northwest of Phoenix, built around a reservoir renowned as one of Arizona's best bass fishing destinations. The four camping cabins overlook the lake and surrounding desert landscape of brush, wildflowers, and cacti. Each climate-controlled cabin sleeps up to four on bunk-style beds with mattresses, and includes a table, four chairs, ceiling fans, and lights. Guests must bring their own linens. The outdoor setup at each cabin includes a covered wood porch, picnic table, fire ring, and charcoal grill. Clean restrooms and showers are located within walking distance in the campground areas. The park store at the Visitor Center sells fishing supplies, camping gear, firewood, ice, and snacks. Beyond fishing, the park supports diverse wildlife including bald eagles, golden eagles, mule deer, foxes, and wild burros. Spring brings abundant wildflowers. OHV trails provide off-highway vehicle access to the surrounding desert terrain. The park's remote setting delivers exceptional dark skies for astronomy enthusiasts.
