About
Wahoo Bay campground provides an abundance of shade for rest and relaxation on Fort Gibson Lake in northeastern Oklahoma. Located just north of Fort Gibson Dam, the campground offers easy access to the main body of the nearly 20,000-acre lake for boating, swimming, and fishing. The campground is equipped with 20 non-electric campsites spread across two loops, with water hookups available throughout for filling tanks.
Anglers enjoy fishing for black bass, white bass, crappie, and several varieties of catfish and panfish. The lake's 225 miles of shoreline are home to thousands of acres of public hunting lands. Wahoo Bay features two boat ramps within the park as well as a courtesy dock at the main boat ramp. Several stores and marinas are located nearby for supplies and equipment rentals, and boat and RV storage facilities are within a few miles of the campground.
The campground offers a quiet retreat tucked away in a cove with scenic views. Vault toilets are available near the boat ramp parking lot. Non-campers using the day use area require a day use pass for boat ramp access. The park is closed to non-campers from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
